licensing and social software

as many of you know, licensing is one of the largest issues to face any media creator. how can an independent media Creator acquire additional media to use for a production? music and images often come at a large price. Creative commons has been analyzing this issue and has some very interesting approaches. At this web site one can search and browse for media of various license types...some perfectly free to use. They also have licenses that are available for media creators to use...definitely worth checking out

there is a project at NYU...a kind of social software...that one can use to upload material. I have not tested the site but it may be worth a glance.
